Meet Osteria Antica

Set within a beautiful two-storey space overlooking the iconic Booth Street in Annandale, Osteria Antica has locals (and us) buzzing. Run by three best pals, head chef Adrian, his cousin Dominic and friend, Frank, the vibe here is infectious. Inspired by the traditional osterias of Italy, Osteria Antica is warm, rustic and home to a damn fine menu.

Chef Adrian has over 20 years experience in creating authentic Italian food. And the results have certainly come to fruition here. Located in the heart of Annandale Village, his menu at Osteria Antica boasts an extensive array of dishes alongside a carefully curated drinks list.

Antipasti, pizza & pasta to make your day

One of our favourite things to do at this Italian restaurant in Annandale is order up a few rounds of antipasti and an aperitif or two. Which is best enjoyed on the balcony where you can relax and watch the sun go down. Then, it’s time for freshly made pasta or pizza and a bottle of matched wine. If that doesn’t get your heart fluttering, we don’t know what will.

Signature dishes at Osteria Antica include the gnocchi Riviera that comes with cherry tomatoes and basil cooked in a cream and tomato sauce, and the diavola pizza topped with tomato, spicy salami, olives, chilli flakes and fior di latte. As well, we love the slow-cooked swordfish served with green olives, capers and crunchy bread and the spaghetti al mare made with fresh prawns, mussels, squid, octopus and crab.

Community is at the heart of Osteria Antica so on any given night locals descend on this Booth Street restaurant for good, wholesome food in a relaxed setting. Adrian’s aim is to make Sydney and Annandale locals feel that Osteria Antica is their home away from home. For us, he’s doing a very good job.
